Hi, my name is Tristine Lam. I’m from Little Rock, Arkansas. I’m starting this fundraiser on behalf of Muhannad Al-Hajj, and his pregnant wife. His 16 year old niece, Rawan, reached out to me on Instagram and has asked for my help to set up a fundraising campaign. I have been successfully fundraising for him and his family over the last 1.5 years after the genocide in Gaza escalated.

I will be transferring all funds donated to Muhannad through paypal so he can pay for rent and buy supplies including food, water, medicine. Since the Israeli military has enforced a complete siege on the Gaza strip, no life-saving aid has been able to enter.

Please support his campaign, your support is literally life-saving.

Muhannad’s story is shared below:

“Hello, I’m Muhannad, I’m 34 years old, married, my wife is pregnant and is about to give birth soon in this fierce war, I live in a house and I pay rent for it about $400 a month, the reality is that I have no shelter I lost my home and my job (working at a sweets factory), I lost my brother and many of my family and friends, all I strive for now is to live safely in this war and to survive me and my wife. I hope that when the crossing is opened to get out to safety with my wife so that we can live in peace, your donation no matter how small or big it is, it will mean a lot to me, I hope you do not let me down, thank you for reading my story carefully, grateful!”

Hi friends, thank you to every single one of you who have donated to help Muhannad and his pregnant wife survive in Gaza amidst ongoing airstrikes and incessant destruction caused by Israel. Food, water, and medicine has been restricted from entering the strip since May, resulting in a complete and utter seige– suffocating and starving the Gazans who are merely trying to exist.. Your love, kindness and generosity is what gives them hope in this cruel, unjust world. – Tristine

I wanted to share some updates and requests they’ve shared on their instagram stories last week.

From Muhannad: “Hello my friends, I am asking you to help me buy a bag of flour for my family for about a week and we have not eaten bread beause the price of flour is expensive and I cannot buy it. I am asking you to hep me. The price of a bag of flour is 300 dollars. Please help me. Donate even a little so that I can buy a bag of flour for my family. We are dying of hunger and the bombing is over our heads. The situation is very difficult and very painful. You are my only hope. Donate and share my story.”

Thank you all for reading and thank you for your compassion.

Third picture was Muhannad before the genocide when he was working at a sweets factory.
